Mihai Viteazu Accident Today, Three dead and four injured in an accident
A tragic road accident in Mihai Viteazu has resulted in the unfortunate loss of lives and multiple injuries, according to information provided by the representatives of ISU Mureş. The incident involved three cars and a military truck, leading to a complex rescue operation and a severe toll on those involved.
The accident resulted in seven victims, with injuries ranging from minor to fatal. Among the victims, three were classified as “code green,” indicating minor injuries or those requiring outpatient treatment. One victim was classified as “code red,” signifying critical condition and immediate need for urgent medical intervention. This individual was subsequently taken into custody, possibly for further investigation or due to other circumstances related to the accident. Tragically, three victims—two adults and a minor—were classified as “code black,” indicating injuries incompatible with life, and sadly, they succumbed at the scene.
Emergency response teams, including military firefighters from the Sighişoara Fire Department, were swiftly dispatched to the scene following the call for assistance. The incident took place in the Mihai Viteazu locality, where the firefighters faced a challenging situation involving multiple vehicles. To effectively manage the rescue operations, they deployed an extrication truck and an intervention truck equipped with an extrication module, designed to safely remove victims from damaged vehicles and provide immediate care.
In addition to the firefighters, multiple medical units were mobilized to provide urgent assistance. Two SMURD ambulances, including one mobile intensive care unit, were present to stabilize and transport the injured. A crew from the Serviciul de Ambulance Judeţean (SAJ) was also on-site, providing additional support. Moreover, a SMURD helicopter was dispatched to facilitate rapid transportation of critical patients to specialized medical facilities, emphasizing the seriousness of the injuries sustained.
The scene of the accident was a complex and urgent situation requiring coordinated efforts from fire, rescue, and medical teams. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, while the community mourns the loss of the three victims who died.
