Juan Dominguez Shooting, Springfield MA Death: 34-Year-Old Man Dies After Forest Park Avenue Shooting
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Springfield community is mourning the tragic death of Juan Dominguez, 34, who died after being shot at an apartment on Forest Park Avenue during the early morning hours of Sunday, August 30, 2026.
According to information released by the Hampden District Attorney’s Office, Springfield Police officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 0–100 block of Forest Park Avenue at approximately 1 a.m. following a report of a gunshot victim.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers provided first aid while emergency responders worked to transport the injured man to a local hospital.
Dominguez was taken to Baystate Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries despite efforts to save his life. Authorities subsequently identified the victim as Juan Dominguez, 34, of Springfield.
