Dominick Bianchi Obituary, Cause of Death – Rotterdam Marketing Professional Remembered at 34

The New York community is mourning the death of Dominick “Dom” Bianchi, a 35-year-old marketing professional and newlywed whose life was remembered for his generosity, deep friendships, love of baseball and passion for music.

Bianchi was reported missing from his East Greenbush home on September 8, 2026. Authorities said he left without his cellphone or wallet, while his vehicle remained at home. Following a days-long search involving police and members of the community, his body was discovered in a wooded area on September 13.

East Greenbush police expressed condolences to Bianchi’s family and said his death was not believed to be suspicious. An autopsy was being conducted to establish the official cause of death.

Born in Schenectady, Bianchi graduated from Mohonasen High School in 2009 before earning a Bachelor of Applied Science in Marketing from Siena College in 2014.

He built a career in marketing and most recently worked as Manager of Agency Marketing at Renaissance. His professional career represented an important part of his life, but those who knew him remembered that his relationships and personal interests were equally significant.

Bianchi was also a passionate baseball fan and a devoted supporter of the New York Yankees. After moving to Massachusetts, he developed an appreciation for Fenway Park as well and enjoyed attending baseball games.

A Passion for Music and Friendship

Music was another major part of Dom’s life. He traveled around the country to attend concerts and festivals featuring artists he loved.

His family and friends remembered him as someone who wanted others to experience those moments with him. He frequently purchased additional concert tickets so friends could join him, reflecting the generosity and welcoming personality that became part of his legacy.

Those close to Bianchi also described him as someone who valued both lifelong friendships and new connections. His ability to bring people together meant that his circle extended far beyond childhood friends and professional acquaintances.

A Newlywed Remembered by Family

Bianchi had married Julianna Zyra only months before his death. His family described the loss as especially painful following the happiness of welcoming him into their family.

Following the discovery of his body, his father-in-law expressed gratitude to the community members who helped search for Bianchi and supported the family during the difficult days of uncertainty.

Cause of Death and Investigation
