Aryssa Torres Missing Update, San Antonio, TX: Beloved Lawyer Found Safe
The search for Aryssa Torres, a 38-year-old attorney from Alice, Texas, has ended safely after the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on August 14, 2026, that she was located in Buda, Texas. Authorities said the Buda Police Department found Aryssa and was getting her the assistance she needed.
Aryssa had been reported missing after her family lost contact with her following a trip to the San Antonio and Seguin areas for a conference. Investigators said deputies had encountered her near Curry Road and O’Daniel Road in southern Guadalupe County on August 8. She reportedly told them she was training for a marathon and intended to return to a nearby Airbnb.
Concern intensified after Aryssa’s vehicle was discovered abandoned on August 13 at Amazing Grace Baptist Church along State Highway 123 south of Seguin. Her phone and other belongings were still inside. Authorities said handwritten notes found in the vehicle indicated she may have been experiencing a mental health crisis, while investigators found no evidence of foul play.
Her safe recovery brings relief to family and others who had been urgently searching for answers. The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office credited the Buda Police Department with locating Aryssa, allowing her family to know that she is safe and receiving assistance.
