Michael Nolan, Death, Portlaoise Obituary: Beloved Resident Passed Away Unexpectedly Family and Friends Mourn
The community of Portlaoise, Laois, is mourning the death of Michael Nolan, of Kylebrook, Abbeyleix Road, who passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 17, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was a beloved husband to Mary and a dearly loved father to Ray and Michael. His death is deeply regretted by his family, including his daughters-in-law Chrissie and Detz; Detz’s son Patrick; as well as his nephews, niece, relatives, neighbors, and many former colleagues and friends from St. Fintan’s Hospital. Those who knew him are now remembering his life and the relationships he built throughout the community.
Reposing arrangements were scheduled at Keegan’s Funeral Home from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, with the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. His funeral will arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for an 11:00 a.m. service. Requiem Mass on Wednesday, followed by interment at SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.
