According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 6:15 p.m. Sunday near U.S. 22 in Hocking Township. Cameron was traveling westbound on U.S. 33 in a 2025 Chevrolet Trax when his vehicle was struck by a 2016 GMC Terrain.

It then collided with the Chevrolet Trax carrying Cameron and passenger Abrielle Kerns, 23, of Lancaster.

The GMC Terrain caught fire after the collision.

Cameron was treated at the scene by emergency responders before being transported by Hocking Township EMS to Fairfield Medical Center. Despite efforts to save him, he died a short time later.

Authorities said alcohol is suspected to have been a factor in the crash, while the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision continues.
