The community of Jackson, Mississippi is mourning the death of Buster Morlino, whose passing has left family, friends, and loved ones remembering a man known for his loyalty, kindness, and deep love for those around him. Born on November 21, 1951, in Richton, Mississippi, Buster was the son of the late Philip “Buster” Morlino Sr. and Beatrice “Bea” Morlino. He graduated from Leland High School in 1969 and later attended Henderson-Brown College. Throughout his career, Buster worked as a concrete technician in various roles before retiring from the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) in February 2025.

Buster’s life was filled with passions that brought him joy, especially his love for sports. A devoted Southern Miss Athletics fan, he enjoyed attending games and cheering on the Golden Eagles. He also found happiness watching baseball and football, following horse racing, and participating in fantasy football. Beyond his interests, Buster was remembered as a dependable and loyal friend who always stood by the people he cared about.

Buster’s obituary is a testament to the lasting impact he made through family, friendship, and countless memories. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Brad Morlino, and his sister Lela Rose Bush. He is survived by his daughter, Allyson Morlino Flowers (Byron); son, Daniel Morlino (Juliana); grandchildren Bradley and Ellie Flowers; and nieces Beth and Ellie. His love, laughter, personality, and devotion to his family will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
