Niky Lowe passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026, surrounded by family and friends, according to tributes shared following his death. His passing has left his loved ones, teammates, coaches and the wider lacrosse community mourning a deeply valued member of their family.
Niky’s connection to lacrosse stretched back many years. He represented Brampton and the Jr. Bandits and was recognized in 2022 as the Brampton Minor Lacrosse Association’s U17 Team MVP. That same year, he received the Pottsy Burrows Box Goaltending Award and was among those honored with the association’s Veteran’s Award.
He later continued his lacrosse journey with the Brampton Excelsiors as a goaltender. Public player records list his birth date as May 19, 2006, and identify him as a Brampton, Ontario native.
Beyond the statistics and awards, Niky will be remembered for the relationships he built through the game. Tributes describe his smile, passion and devotion to lacrosse as qualities that made a lasting impression.
