ON-403 Accident Today: Highway 403 Collision Reports and Traffic Update
ON-403 Accident Today: Drivers travelling on Ontario Highway 403 (ON-403) should remain alert for changing traffic conditions as authorities monitor the major highway corridor through Hamilton, Burlington, Brantford and Mississauga.
As of the latest available reports on September 12, 2026, there is no reliable confirmation of a major new collision on Highway 403 today involving fatalities or serious injuries.
Recent incidents on the highway have caused significant disruptions. On August 21, a serious two-vehicle crash in the westbound lanes of Highway 403 left a 78-year-old woman dead and another woman injured.
Earlier this year, another Highway 403 collision involved a transport truck crossing the median and striking an SUV in the eastbound lanes. No injuries were reported in that incident.
At this time, details such as a confirmed accident location, number of vehicles involved, injuries, fatalities, lane closures or an estimated reopening time for a September 12 collision have not been verified by reliable sources.
Motorists should slow down near emergency activity, follow OPP and Ontario transportation officials’ instructions, and allow extra travel time if congestion develops.
This is a developing traffic situation, and additional information may be released if authorities confirm an incident on ON-403.
