Michelle Lee Richter, 51, of Regina, Saskatchewan, is being remembered as a devoted educator, talented artist, passionate photographer, loving mother, and cherished member of her community. She died peacefully on September 18, 2026, surrounded by her family, just one day after celebrating her 51st birthday.
Born in Regina on September 17, 1975, Michelle spent her life in the city, where she built her career, raised her family, developed her artistic talents, and formed lasting relationships with those around her.
Michelle graduated from the Arts Education program at the University of Regina before beginning a teaching career that spanned more than two decades with Regina Catholic Schools. Her obituary describes her as a joyful and inclusive educator who worked to create classrooms where students felt valued, understood, and encouraged to express themselves creatively.
Throughout her career, Michelle incorporated the arts into a wide range of subjects, including literacy, mathematics, science, and faith formation. She believed creativity could help children understand the world around them while discovering their own abilities and confidence.

Michelle was remembered as someone who valued family gatherings and made birthdays and holidays especially meaningful. The memories created throughout those years will remain important to the people who loved her.

A funeral service is scheduled for October 10, 2026, at Christ Lutheran Church in Regina, followed by a reception and private family burial.
