Brandon Miller, 38, Dies After Tragic I-71 Crash in Morrow County

The Columbus, Ohio, community is mourning the tragic death of 38-year-old Brandon Miller, whose life was cut short following a fatal crash on Interstate 71 in Morrow County.

According to authorities, the incident happened Thursday night, September 24, 2026, at approximately 10:23 p.m. Brandon was standing in the northbound lanes of Interstate 71 near milepost 147 in Harmony Township when he was struck by a vehicle.

The vehicle involved was identified as a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse operated by 42-year-old Brandon Diguilio of North Ridgeville, Ohio. The circumstances that led to Miller being in the roadway and the events immediately preceding the collision remain part of the ongoing investigation.

Morrow County EMS responded to the scene and pronounced Miller deceased. The driver remained at the location following the crash and was not injured.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Mount Gilead Post is continuing to investigate the incident. Authorities have not indicated that the investigation is complete, and additional information may be released as investigators work to establish the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
