Remembering Kylee Ann Nesset: Kingsland Community Mourns the Loss of Beloved Teen and Camden County Cheerleader

The Kingsland, Georgia, community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Kylee Ann Nesset, a beloved 16-year-old whose passing has left her family, friends, teammates, classmates, and everyone who knew her with unimaginable grief. Kylee’s sudden departure has created a deep void in the lives of those who loved her, as they hold onto cherished memories of a young woman whose kindness, energy, and joyful spirit touched so many.

Kylee was born on November 7, 2009, in St. Marys, Georgia, to her loving parents, Wade and Justine Nesset. She was a student at Camden County High School, where she proudly served as a cheerleader for the Camden County Wildcats. Through her involvement in school activities, Kylee built meaningful friendships and became a valued member of the community around her.

Those who knew Kylee remember her as a vibrant, adventurous, and caring young woman who brought happiness wherever she went. She had a love for making memories with the people closest to her and treasured time spent with family and friends. Whether enjoying family days out on the boat, traveling with loved ones, relaxing at the beach, or simply spending time with those she cared about, Kylee embraced life with enthusiasm and appreciation.

Kylee was also an active member of the Chaos student ministry at Christ’s Church Camden, where she shared her faith and formed connections with others. Her presence was a source of encouragement and joy, and she will be remembered by many for the warmth and positivity she brought into every room she entered.

Her passing has deeply affected her teammates, friends, and the Camden County community. Many are now coming together in prayer and support, recognizing the lasting impact Kylee had during her 16 years of life. Although her time here was far too short, the love she shared and the memories she created will continue to live on through everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Kylee leaves behind her parents, Wade and Justine Nesset, and her younger brother, Liam. She is also survived by her grandparents, Thomas and Shirley Valenteen and Calvin and Bonnie Nesset, along with her aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and many friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

A Celebration of Life honoring Kylee will be held at Christ’s Church Camden, 250 Lake Pointe Drive, Kingsland, GA 31548, on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by Allison Memorial Chapel.

As the Nesset family begins this difficult journey of grief, the community continues to surround them with prayers, love, and support. Kylee Ann Nesset will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and lovingly honored by all whose lives she touched.
