Sean Woosley, Hancock County, Kentucky Obituary Death: Sean Woosley, 23, and Joshua Wood, 25, Killed in Hancock County Crash
Two men were killed in a single-vehicle crash late Saturday night in Hancock County, Kentucky, according to Kentucky State Police.
The victims were identified as Sean Woosley, 23, of Hawesville, and Joshua Wood, 25, of Lewisport.
The fatal crash involved a red 1998 Ford Mustang near the intersection of KY-271 and Hilldale Road. Kentucky State Police troopers were dispatched to the area after receiving a report of a single-vehicle crash in Lewisport.
When troopers arrived, they found the Mustang off the roadway after it had crashed into an embankment.
The Hancock County Coroner responded to the scene and pronounced both Woosley and Wood deceased.
Authorities have not released information about which man was driving the Mustang or provided a detailed account of what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway.
The crash occurred in the Lewisport and Hawesville area of western Kentucky, near the Ohio River.
The deaths of Sean Woosley and Joshua Wood have left their families, friends, and loved ones mourning the sudden loss of two young men following the late-night crash.
Their identities were released after their families were notified. The circumstances surrounding the collision, including what caused the Mustang to leave the roadway, remain under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
